How many people would hire an attourney with a nose ring, or how many corporate executives do you see with such visible body art. I too have a tattoo. I have no issues with it, but I took my grandfather's advise. Get it where the judge can't see it. I think if you have the balls to do it, good for you. It's no different that when long hair was such a social stigma 40 yrs ago, except the tattoos on someone's fingers can't be removed for $5 at Freddy's before a job interview or just because you are tired of it. For that reason I state it can be a limiting factor on income. I hope you don't think my opinions on society are judgements against individuals. I just work in an occupation, as do many of my friends, where the perception of customers or clients can limit your ability to earn income. Times change and society changes but it is currently a fact of life for many. Sometimes I still wish I had my long hair, but it had to go after college because of the profession I chose. Especially when your client cross various generations. Having one leg doesn't mean you can't be successful person, but I am sure you would never be able to fullfil a dream of being a professional baseball player or UPS driver. Fair or not.
