I think this is a great idea, but how about for starters just make those on link buy specific foods like WIC does? or make them show ID when they present the link card like you do a credit or debit card. Why should someone on Link eat T-ones and shrimp when I buy generic peanut butter and bread? I don't shop that way because I am poor I shop that way to make my money go further. I also think aide should be capped, regardless of the number of people in the family. Illegitimate or not, a baby should not warrant a household pay increase. Mrs. Obama wants to tell everyone how to eat, how about taking Doritos and Twinkies off the list of things you can buy with a Link cards. I also think that government aide shouldn't be allowed for meals at QT. I don't think a Tequito and a 52oz Coke is a healthy or efficient way to feed your children. And finally, regardless of your postition on abortion, where is the logic in fining someone $10,000 for disturbing a sea turtle's nest but abortions can be had all day long? Kind of twisted sense of values. Shouldn't it be a woman's right to eat a sea turtle egg? It's her body. But I guess that's the rub when you want to limit who you feed on public aide. You can't tell a teenager she should have a baby and then not help her care for it if there is not family support. This is why I think we should limit choices on aide to sensible and cost effective food choices and verification of who's spending the aide. At least for starters. FYI, I am all for drug testing, as well as public work for those receiving aide. Why shouldn't they be sober, learn job skills, and contribute back to society. I just think we should approach the way liberals due and take a their rights slowly so they don't realize it. Remember when you could only get a seat belt ticket if you were pulled over for another reason and it was a $15 fine. Now it's an excuse to set up roadblocks and issue $80 fines. It should all revolve around personal responsibility not government oversight and aide.
