No Opi, it's the sheer fact that the remainder of the world isn't nearly as depressed as it used to be. Companies are no longer afraid to station jobs overseas for a few bucks an hour, if even that. Prior to the late 1970s, I don't ever recall American workers having to compete (which is impossible) with third-worlders like that. I'm sure if people could work for $1.50 / hour with no benefits, jobs might stay in America...
