LOL Unfortunately, when I worked in St. Louis, I always had the boss that had a problem. Luckily, I got a new boss and was able to change my hours from 8-5 to 9-5:30 so that corporate would stop breathing down my neck (traffic was a little better by then). They didn't want me to come in early, and hang around till shift started, but they didn't want me late either. I agree that they need to get over it, but many don't. Plus, I've missed many doctor appointments, after getting time off from work, for the same reasons, (they only allow you to be 15 min late or you have to reschedule). Both traffic on the bridge and the trains in GC have given me headaches. So, I guess I'm fed up with both. I'm not sure what you are talking about with Adams, but from Missouri Ave, they closed down the 22nd Street crossing. In order to get to it, you have to go down to 20th street, go over railroad tracks, then turn onto Century Drive and and drive back on to 22nd and go over more railroad tracks. I have no idea why they didn't keep it open so you could have a clear shot through. The only other way I know to get to downtown (once they close the overpass) will to be to drive all the way down Missouri, and turn onto Pontoon Beach Road. Does 29th have a crossing? I don't know, I've never used it, but it looks like there might be one on the map. Even if it does, you still have to take Century Drive to either Pontoon Beach Rd, or to 25th street over tracks. If a train is on the tracks between Century and 22nd, odds are it's going be blocking 25th St. also. So, you're back to Pontoon Beach Rd. So hospital wise, that might create problems. I totally understand what your saying, and I agree the overpass needs to be fixed. And if 29th Street is open, then having 22nd Street wouldn't make much difference except it's a major pain in the butt just to drive down and then back again. It gets really old, real quick when you have to drive it a couple times day, or even several if you need to go to the store.
