This is getting ridiculous!!!  I understand the overpass needs repairs, but there was no reason to shut down the 22nd street crossing. Especially if they knew they were going to close the overpass for 6 months. Also, if they had stuck to the original plans, 20th street would still be open, which in my opinion should have NEVER been closed permanently.
So now, where my brother lives (and I will be again), you have to go PAST 22nd street, to turn on 20th street to go BACK to 22nd street just to get across the tracks. Oh wait, that's IF there's not a train sitting on the tracks you still have to cross, first on 20th then again on 22nd. Then hold on to your drink and your nerves, the 22nd street crossing is already getting really rough. I can't wait till it's the main crossing.  The traffic jams are going to be so much fun, after waiting for a train to go through. Not to mention, there is already a problem with people not moving over on 20th street to let you turn.
Oh no, Mr Alderman, it won't cause issues at all. Obviously, he doesn't live around here. And that other gal they interviewed must not have to deal with it every day like the people working will have to.
It's like they would rather cut off West Granite. At least, or rather, especially to those who live in between 20th and Pontoon Beach Rd. They just keep making it harder to get downtown. It's REALLY starting to get annoying.
