Problem is , is that this country spends WAY more than any other country on average in the world per student and yet students score far below those same countries. Why is it that we do not base a teachers pay upon performance? I was shocked to hear that 2/3 of 8th grade Wisconsin students read at a level below their grade. That's horrible and yet they are not the worst in the nation!! They should completely throw out tenure and base a teachers pay upon perfomance and results like any other working sector in this country!
