if you are illegal - you can not get welfare. you can get healthcare while here, and with no money that does get paid for by american tax payers - but in order to apply for such aid one must have a valid address, and proof of citizenship
Incorrect. Re-read the 14th Amendment.
If you are illegal and have a child on the soil of this country, your child will automatically be a citizen (a birthright citizen), and you as their guardian are able to apply and receive public assistance on all levels for that child.
Once that child is twenty one they can sponsor those illegal parents, and if they dont the government has the option of hunting them down and processing them back out of this country...what are the odds this is going to happen.
And if you don't think for a single minute that illegals receive WIC, LINK, etc., I suggest you spend a morning at Save A Lot, around the first of the emonth.
I will once again tell the story of what I saw one morning at that store. Four Mexican adults, one mother, carrying a new born, a father, and their two teenaged daughters, both of whom were carrying infants. They each had their WIC coupons and their LINK cards when it came time to pay.
No one spoke a word of English and none of them were able to interact with the checker because of it. They rolled their four carts of groceries out to the lot and loaded up their Escalade. The wheels on the Escalade were probably worth more than my car.
Is this the poverty you speak of?
Are these the people you defend?
And you also claim the tax payers pay for none of this?
Take a minute and search "Anchor Baby" or "Birth Tourism", then tell me my taxes are not being used in this manner.
