I can understand where you are coming from and like me and many others, not blessed with the all the skills and tools that a lot of the guys on UKAT have. However, you have the desire to learn and this site is the best I have seen and since I have joined, I have learnt a great deal. The guys who are trying to help do so because they want to, and although some of the contributors may be a bit long in the tooth, do not take any criticism as a personal attack. Behind that facade, they are very knowledgeable techs and have a wealth of info to impart.
My first post a few years ago was met with criticism, which was very discouraging. However, having learnt from that I recognise that there is a lot to be gained from posting on UKAT.
