Whoa, whoa, whoa. There are a lot of parts of GC that are pretty awesome. The complex was nice when we first moved in. I am not saying that GC is trashy. In all honesty, we found a home to buy today that we fell in love with - in Granite. So, who knows, we may end up here permanently.
As far as the high school goes, you have to admit, there have been some serious problems the past few years, just like in a lot of the other districts. It's not just GCHS, it's every public high school, including the supposed gem - Edwardsville High!
I apologize if you took my comments as a direct insult to you. Like I said, there are a lot of nice places in Granite - We may even buy one of them. (Yes, we may buy... even after what I said last night during my rant.)
I wasn't bragging at all about how much we pay in rent. I just don't personally feel as if people who are not on welfare should have to pay that much to live in a slummy apartment complex. Which is why we are going to move out as soon as we can.
Again, I apologize for offending you. It is your opinion (hence the name), that renters bring the community down, and that's fine. But some of the people who own homes in GC aren't doing the best job either... and you can't evict them!
