Not to mention, if people are going to their dealers elsewhere and bringing the $hit here, how are the police (here) supposed to stop that?
The major problem with this rally is there was no plan of action. The conceptualization of it never got past the "I'm mad and I want to yell about it" stage. Nowhere on the facebook event page for the protest or in the article does Ryan or anyone lay out a plan of action or WHAT they suggest that the city isn't already doing to combat the problem. Maybe that's why nearly 200 people said they would attend and 10 did. No one but a user is FOR drugs. But to just have a rally to say "We don't like drugs here" is not accomplishing anything without offering a plan of action to combat them. . . . Sounds like they just want the city to do the legwork and come up with "something else."
I don't think the Race for the Cure would gather tens of thousands of people if they just said "Hey, we hate cancer. It's bad!"
