Personally, I have no problems with the legalization of marijuana, produce and market it by potency, tax the hell out of it and let everyone have at it.
It should not be taxed any more, than is fair.
You compare Tylenol to illegal drugs and call someone elses argument a "slippery slope"
Over the counter drugs kill more people every year, than heroin.
Do I want my family in some establishment where some meth fueled loser is pulling a gun to steal a fix from some teenage kid behind the counter
No, neither do I, the government however, has proven remarkably ineffective at keeping "meth fueled losers" from doing anything. In a free world, an average person would be able to take care of the situation. (and shoot him dead)
"do I want to be driving on the highway next to some buttwipe tripping on LSD?"
No. Neither do I, nor have I advocated that. That is very much wrong.
That does not mean. that LSD, cannot be used responsibly, for recreation purposes, with subtable regulation.
You are right, people can get whatever drugs they want in this town, and most every other town in the U.S.A. Hell, Missouri is the meth capitol of the entire United States
The free market reigns supreme! The government has no real ability to control it.
They can however, make it much safer for everybody, with simple regulations on it.. AND, capitalize on its use, via REASONABLE taxation.
