Roze you have some good points. I have a few questions though. Isn't it the owner who wants to change how he does business not others? Do you know what ages the community center is for or what they offer? No one (including kids) seem to know much about the place. Might be worth finding out, and I am going to look into it. As for the skating rink, not to many teens want to go there, its more for the younger kids. I appreciate all the rationale. Discussion on this matter. In spite of one person here who went way off the wall, most have been informative and respectful. In fact my opinion has changed slightly due to those rationale voices. I prefer not to be around alcohol, the smell alone is repulsive to me. If a liquor license were granted I would like to see a fence put up to block it from the skating rink and would hope security be employed for safety. I would also like to see it more grill/billiards during the day and still family orientated. I still would no longer allow my 16 year old there even during the day without a trusted adult and never in the evening. I would hope though if it were profitable the owner might think about opening another smaller location for those who want to play pool without the alcohol.
