Its unfortunate that an established business in downtown Granite City is even contemplating moving out of the area over something as silly as this. I read often how the city wants new business in the downtown area and here is a business that wants to stay there and Granite wont even work with this business to keep them there. Sad IMO. Everyone knows the city can give this business a liquor license if they want to. Seems as though there is something "just not right" with this situation. Sounds as though Granite may have another empty building in downtown area, exactly what the city claims they don't want. Wake up Granite! The city's downtown demise will not get any better with situations as these IMO.
