They don't get paid when they are on strike. You obviously don't have a clue what you're talking about. Wow it amazes me that you act as though you know everything as I have read through this thread, but you know nothing. You really do sound like an idiot.
You're missing the point so I'll slow it down a bit.
Let's say the teacher's contract runs through September 15th. On September 16th they still don't have a new contract but they keep working under the old one trying to resolve the issues.
With me so far?
Now they still get paid while they continue to negotiate, right?
Okay, now it's September 20th and still no contract. They decide to strike. From that point on there is no contract and they don't get paid.
If I could do little stick figures on here for you I would.
