If they can prove there's nothing on there that's explicit, violent, degrading - and that the device is not able to do anything more than play music, I might be on board with you. And to do that is nearly impossible.
I think of all the things that can go awry.
I'm all for trial and error - experiment with it. Try it. If these devices are used for innocently listening to music and aids in studying - that would be a good outcome.
I don't oppose this to be a pain.
They just have to be wise to all the other things that can possibly happen with some of these devices.
I believe the problems would present themselves on a trial and error basis.
