Some may snap out of it, but when I see young people being so vile to their parents and parents giving up or trying to level with the kids' demands...well it just gets really bad.
So. . . I'm going to ask what seems like a stupid question, but one I really don't know the answer to and I want to.
What is the solution? It seems like it's nipping this in the bud and teaching your child to respect authority (in general, and parents specifically) from the get go? And if that is the answer, how do parents do that??
Of course, I ask because I've got an 11 week old who really only looks to me for food, cuddles and affection, and making sure his butt is clean and dry and that he has a soft, warm place to sleep. It really concerns me that I have no idea how to teach a child how to respect their elders and not be a brat.
