Stupidhead
Second, I don't care how one invests their personal money, as long as you don't tread on the rights of other Americans. You want to be a small time landlord and have 5 rental homes? Knock yourself out....but past 20 is harmful to your fellow Americans. You want to own 400 doors? Buy a multiplex and become the slumlord you've always aspired to be.
You may claim that it's uConSTiTutIonAl to not allow an individual or corporation to buy up 20,000 single family homes in a single metro area and artificially move the home values up 35%, but I'd like to remind you of a little document called the Declaration of Independence.
Do you remember the phrase: "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness"? It's a foundational phrase from the U.S. Declaration of Independence, stating these as unalienable rights endowed by a creator, which governments are formed to protect, representing core American ideals of freedom, opportunity, and self-determination.
When you allow non citizens and corporations the ability to control roughly 10% of the single family housing stock in the country (and other investors another 10%), they are depriving Americans of opportunity and our government has the authority and responsibility to act and correct that shortcoming. Americans over non americans and corporations...end of story.
probably just another real jerk in life![]()
