My mother earlier today started with that, "I don't know why a 19 year old needs a gun drivel." I told her, don't even start with that shi* with me, you sound like one of those ninnies on The View. "I explained that her that neighbor didn't need a new car either but he wanted one. Its not up to us to decide who needs what and who doesn't. He bought his rifle legally, and had he not, he could have drove to the nearest big city and got one a lot cheaper. Would it have made any of you feel better if he had bought a 22 Marlin without all the bells and whistles? It could have done the same amount of damage as could numerous other rifles. Long guns BTW are used in less than 6% of all violent gun crimes.
