A municipality has the right to make zoning ordinances which are not protected speech under the First amendment.
He is correct Jermey, some city such as Austin Texas have no zoning laws, but most do. Such laws are not covered by free speech protections.
To the owning a trailer, I would prefer my neighbors not park a boat or trailer on the street for any extended period of time, but I cannot agree with legislation that compels them move it.
I do beilve some of Granite City's ordences as it concerns private property to be BS. But I don't know if a legal challenge could be successfully mounted againt them in this police state (IL).
One big factor as to why I left Granite Proper and will never return, is because the CGPD threatened to tow a truck I owned, out from under my car port, because it had no city sticker. (Eat my A-hole Gagich. ) Such action, I feel are egregious violations of a person private property rights.
