Some imply that the younger candidates don't have the experience necessary to be on a govt board. I strongly disagree. These "kids" know who the good teachers are and the not-so-good teachers. This statement alone shows the naive approach you might use. First, the kids know? Are you kiddding? The kids know who they like. That doesn't necessarily mean they know what makes a quality teacher. They are in a wonderful position to weed out the teachers/faculty/whatever that is holding GC back Secondly, this statement shows you know little of tenure laws and union protection. Do you honestly think it's as easy as "weeding" out the bad ones? Wow, I hope these two young men have a little more on the ball than your statements indicate.
