Yes I'm going to have to agree with Jo592...and yes Jones is running for the 2-year and Wingerter for the 4. Some imply that the younger candidates don't have the experience necessary to be on a govt board. I strongly disagree. These "kids" know who the good teachers are and the not-so-good teachers. They are in a wonderful position to weed out the teachers/faculty/whatever that is holding GC back. There is no doubt that Jones and Wingerter probably have siblings or relatives going through the district. But isn't that precisely what makes them good candidates? Their parents pay taxes and siblings are in school. Sounds like a great motive to run for a board position. They know the school better than anyone on the board now. Let them recent experiences as opposed to ones from 20-30 years ago. I would also agree that parents such as Dailey make an excellent addition to the board. However, after reading through meeting minutes online, I haven't seen any hint of her disagreeing with the good ole' boys. There are no doubt things that she should disagree with considering some of the more recent change to district policy. (i.e. raises to the administration's salaries, unnecessary projects, etc.)
