However the car is for my wife and i, and i wanted it to be reliable. The car has done 80k miles and i was thinking the dpf will soon be needing attention and egr valve was £120 , remap £180 so the extra £60 would give me insurance in the future that egr would never fail and leave my wife stranded as she was when it played up last time and no dpf probs in the future. All sounds good.
But now when i remove this egr blank and if it does run fine i can never be sure she wont be stuck with egr problems again as i am again relying on it not being jammed open. Do you think this will work with a knackered egr valve?? I think im being fed a load of c##p by them. I asked if they can delete the egr and dpf and they said yes so i paid the cash ,now they are back tracking on their word.
