However i will update you on my car.
Had the egr and dpf delete done last week. £180
I put a blanking plate on egr and removed the dpf myself, however 30 miles and 2 days later after remap eml and limp mode returned..??
I read codes with launch to find 7 codes, glow plug, egr flow excessive, egr no flow, fuel cap,
i cant remember all of them but at least 4 were egr related.
I rang our tech i paid to do it and he said clear them as when he remappes a car he doesnt clear what is already there its probably one of the other codes causing the light. I replied i have never seen a glow plug open circuit cause a eml and limp home issue? He then asked me to return the car to him if it came on again and he will look at it free of charge. EMl and limp came back on sunday so it went in this morning. I checked the codes but never cleared them before it went and there were 4 codes, egr flow excessive, egr insufficiant flow, and another egr related. plus glow plug open circuit.
He rang me later on to ask if i had fitted a blank in the egr, i replied yes and he told me thats the problem, He says if i remove the blank it will be the end of the problem..?? I replied with "the reason i had you re map it was to discard the egr from the syatem" he then said ""his peugeot top tech has plugged into it and says this is the problem i am doing other jobs and dont have time to think about your car at the moment, get it picked up and remove the plate""
I cant understand how the car will run with the egr pipe unblocked and an unreliable egr valve.
I dont understand it but maybe someone can explain it to me, thats why i have just posted this long winded essay,
opinions please
Kind regards Brad
