Research (and this time it is spot on) shows that people hate Hip Hop and Freestyle/House/Euro/Pop Dance being intermixed. B96 now and Jams in the past, are smart avoiding it. In the 90s when B9 spun both, ratings would decrease. They would shift dance again, the reading went up. When they dropped dance and were Hip Hop in the late 90s and early 2K, their ratings increased.

I'm pretty sure they plan to waste the 104.3 frequency and simulcast 670. Like 670 really needs FM being by far the strongest AM signal in Chicago

The end goal is to get out of the tower, land and AM license holding business. When FM keeps declining, all the major players want to just cast off of IP (internet).

Within 2 years, you will see 670 and 780 be sold. Most likely to Conservative entities or religious or ethic. They are not valued like they were 15 years ago, but they will bring in cash liquid to a company that does not have any right now.
