I have no idea, but it was a smart move bringing him in. He knew all the jargon and was rattling off numbers right and left. Was part of his job to keep the angry folks off the mayor and his people? Maybe but he was obviously more informed than anyone attending the meeting who knew only that their basement was flooded. One or two people were flailing their arms around and making assumptions but i can say this much, nobody was singled out because the engineer wasnt having it. BTW i see nothing wrong with handling that kind of situation by bringing in someone that knows whats what, or should anyway. Especially after the township pretty much blamed everything on the village, it was the smart thing to do. The mayor probably didnt want to deal with an angry mob and for a majority of the meeting he didnt have to. I went to see what everyone had to say and i left with this...... Its a flood plan, flood plains sometimes flood and it will cost a fortune to really attack the problem which we dont have. We will continue to do everything that we can and try to make additional improvements. I left thinking two guys asked the same question 25 different ways and just didnt really want to listen to anything that was said back to them. I wanted to jump up and say, please just sit the **** down, but i think instead i might have said about one sentence because at that point things were getting real repetitive. When i learned Mayor Paganao was personally floating from mobile home to mobile home and helping to evacuate peoples pets i knew at that point that i would either keep my yap shut or defend the villages efforts.
