I can certainly understand your trying to spin this off on political vendettas. However, my cousin lives along your ditch line and this summer the grass was extremely high. Now I'm not an engineer but I know when weeds in a ditch are three feet high the water won't flow as easily as it would if the grass was maintained. You also pointed out in one of the articles that the antiquated infrastructure in GC caused this. Well, I guess you're aware that any water in the ditch comes from the east side of our main drag and on that side, we don't have combined sanitary and storm sewers. Any water in the ditch was yours and it wasn't moving. You also claim that you and Kurt saved Pontoon Beach from flooding. You may want to get a second opinion on that one. The Mayor out there has shared on many occasions that the little village of Pontoon put in two new drain lines under highway 162 that carried most of the water out of his community. They did that with no help from the county or MESD. Again, you can get defensive in court. I'm sure the attorneys will get answers for those in Granite who lost their homes. If you win, good for you. If the citizens (who by the way are the ones initiating the suit, not a law firm) win, you'll raise their taxes to pay the lawsuit. You win either way. Until next November that is.
