Wally, no one can argue that cleaning out 30 employees, some un-necessary, was a good thing. I actually applauded that action. However, during the recent flood he made the comment that the ditches were not under the maintenance of the MESD. Now if he wasn't aware of that after two years of being on the job, it stands to reason he didn't have anyone doing said maintenance. It's not a personal attack. He just can't claim to be the savior without taking some criticism as well. Bottom line? Neither MESD or Granite City will be held responsible. This will be deemed an "act of God" event. Even FEMA told the city to go to hell. And these lawsuits? If a government body is sued and loses, who ultimately pays off the judgement. I won't play spoiler, I'll let you answer that. LOL
