How much is my house worth?
My house is worth a whole lot, but the problem is not what it is worth, its what I could get for it. As we covered this subject before, its well known that property is dirt cheap here, thats why investors are grabbing property and renting them out. Rent is not cheap by no means, just the property. Where can you pay cash for a 2 bedroom home, sunroom on the back, detached 2 car garage in a nice neighborhood, and pay 35,000 for it in 1987. Fast forward to a month ago, list it for sale in better shape than it was, the asking price you ask is $25,000. lol, you heard right. Only in Granite City, thats where. I had it listed for 90 days and not one person came to look at it. NOT ONE Sooooo, what do you do with this fabulous investment? rent it out again. thats the whole problem, 57 percent of the little hamlet is rental property. No one came to look at it because the realtor said I was asking too much, there were way too many places cheaper. And I might add, it was move in ready, and of course had a new furnace and a/c Until the peoples attitude in this town changes, we are doomed to continue the downward swirl. And im getting dizzy, cigar time. Perdome 6x60 habano connecttic
