What are they going to sell at Rule King?
Rulers? Slide Rules? Micrometers? Abacuses for the kids to do basic math?
For a poorly worded rumour and misuse of the word Rule --- people sure get a little jumpy.
Rural King in Granite City?
Not only shouldn't it come -- it's not a good fit.
Rural King is a seed and feed store. There happens to be other things - such as work clothing and footwear...tools and the such...
But a Rural King in Granite City is about as sensible as re-opening up the farm supply store in National City. It was understandable when the stock yards were teeming with livestock... but in this day and age?
60,000 square feet of farm supplies in Granite City? Who is going to plunk down $40 or $50 million to make that happen? I realize they outfit working people and sell many items in which an urban dweller would be interested - but if their core business is farmers - I don't see fertilizer, animal feed, and tractor supplies flying off the shelf.
This entire thread is much ado about nothing. Granite City --- still loves its Gossip.
And I just can't sleep worth a lick.. (a salt lick bought at the Granite City 'Rule King' of course.)
