Off topic, and no dog in this fight other than my outrageous taxes, but this woman is also on the County Board? Another double-dipping pensioner on our already overtaxed system?
I guess this parent should also now be exempt from paying any more taxes to the school district? Lol,like that will ever happen...
But--how rude and belligerent of these well paid public servants to dismiss and permanently punish a taxpaying parent for expressing legitimate concerns over the treatment of his 6 year old child in their care.
Quite frankly, we all pay dearly for the privilege of monitoring our schools, and educators should pay heed when a parent is concerned enough to come speak with them. I see parental apathy as a much bigger problem facing educators today.
Our school administration, with falling enrollment and a diminished tax base, is already top heavy and bloated--and badly needs their numbers culled to keep financially solvent in to the future. Only my opinion, but I'm seeing, here, a good place to start. (I think also, anyone who put their name on that letter)
There's definitely a problem when a six year old child is expected to be more accountable for his actions than the adults well paid to care for him. Just what is the lesson, here?
