" He also, even at 6 and especially in the 4th week of school should have figured out when to go to lunch." Really, how do you figure that? If an ENTIRE school staff and principal can't figure out how to call the students to lunch and stick to that method (changed twice in the 4 weeks you mentioned) how do you expect more out of a 6 year old child?

" You have to ask yourself why he and maybe one or two others have a problem with this." One or two? According to Greenwald, the parent's of this child and other school staff, the amount used to describe the amount of students this happened to was "several" not one or two. But, nice try!

"I'm not really trying to be mean to you" You must be far more use to dealing with children instead of adults. Please, don't worry. I don't see this discussion as you "being mean" I see it as an obvious attempt, as poorly as it may be, at damage control on the behalf of the school district, and Mr Greenwald and Mr Lull.

"The proof is in the tapes

100% agree with you. It would clear things up if the cameras show all areas of the building."

Surely they at least "show" the principal's office, and the cafeteria at the very least. So, there should be no problem checking them. Unless dragging their feet and allowing plenty of time to pass before agreeing to do so, allows enough time to pass that makes reviewing them impossible. I guess we'll have to wait and see if they are reviewed, or if there happens to be a reason they couldn't be.

"Anyone can file a lawsuit. This one is a loser based on the police taking action." Famous words known as hearsay.

" junior would have been more embarrassed by dad coming to the school than by the detention or in our case, a swat."

This may actually be true (IF) we were talking about a 10-11-12 year old boy or older. The little boy that missed a sign being held up stating it's time for lunch during his recess, is a little boy who was 6 years & 2 weeks old. For someone who is knowledgeable about this school district and it's policies, you sure don't seem to know very much about young children. Especially expecting a 6 year old to figure out and remember a ridiculous method calling him off the playground for lunch.

Are they listening for a school bell today? Or are they listening for someone to yell for them over the hundreds of students outside playing? Or are they listening for anything at all? Should they not be playing at all and instead paying attention and being on the look out for someone out of a couple hundred of people, holding up a sign? You can't be serious, and you are holding this 6 year old at fault and NOT THE SCHOOL AND IT'S PRINCIPLE FOR THIS failed lunch policy?

Trust me when I say, you are not doing Mr Greenwald or Mark Lull and the school district any favors with your responses in these posts.
