You can't make a teacher live where they work, not here in Granite City, not in Edwardsville, Springfield, wherever. Is it convenient if they do? Sure it is. Who wouldn't want to have to commute to work. What do you do if you have two married teachers working in two different school districts?

I honestly don't think that would motivate teachers to do their best just because their children would be affected. That is pretty absurd to say that since that makes a point of teachers only care about their own kids, not anyone else's kids. I would say it is safe to say that most teachers care about all students. According to your statement, what would be the motivator to a teacher that does not have kids of his or her own? What about what a teacher's own kid(s) in that district graduate or move on? Does that teacher now become unmotivated? Should the district remove that teacher because the district would feel they cannot perform their job to the fullest?
