Without going on and on I will merely address a couple of points.
President Obama is not the only one asking, and most of America is damn near demanding
Depending on what polls you believe this isn't necessarily true any longer. Many Americans are worried that this act was rushed into to deliver a campaign promise by mr. Obama. With all of the "unkowns" as well as the apparent problems people are having with logging on to the registrations site, I would argue the pendulum has swung.
based in fear you present Not fear. Anger maybe but not fear. The government shouldn't have the right to mandate health care insurance to people. Nor should they ask that I support those who can't afford their own. What's next? Will I someday be asked to pay for someone's mortgage when the next socialist president passes the American Mortgage Act? No, my only fear is that our country continues to support the idea that being wealthy puts a target on your back.
it is...but it is an educated speculation. i say this because under the new reform, preventative care is covered without a co-pay or deductible; essentially "free."
It's not an educated speculation. It's an opinion. Many companies already provide insurance for their employees and my educated speculation is that they experience high call off rates. Ask yourself why government jobs such as those in education offer their people so many sick leave days a year. People abuse leave.
healthcare costs were the leading cause of bankruptcy
I'm sure you have data to back that up so I'll give you the point. However, it's no secret that in today's society people are walking away from debt like the plague. They buy homes and cars they can't afford. They use plastic instead of cash and they spend themselves into a hole. Then they simply walk away from that debt or declare bankruptcy leaving you and I to cover their careless way of doing business.
America is becoming a weak nation led by weak people. We want votes before we want success. We give from some, take from others all in the name of re-election. We badmouth the wealthy and support the illegals all the time asking the wealthy to foot the bill. It's a shame. In forty years we'll have nothing but low income jobs dependent on government healthcare, government food lines and government oversight. Sound familiar? It should. It's gone on in places like the Soviet Union forever.
I know you won't agree Lib and that works for me. The good thing is we have debated the issue and neither has budged. It's a good argument, it's not a winnable one for either of us. Your group currenlty is in charge so my guess is this will go forward and time will be the ultimate ruler as to success or failure.
