I hardly worship him, and categorize him the way I do most politicians, self serving.
It's no longer about Democrats or Republicans, or even Tea Partiers, it all about big corporations and who stands to lose or make the most money, in all things political.
I'm hardly educated in Poli Sci enough to know even what the most average person knows. But I know what I see, and being a politician means big money at the state and federal level. And there are no term limitations.
So once they get a taste of what the lobbyists for the big corps can give them, not only in contributions but gifts and perks (William Haine, perfect example, google it), it's hard to give up the life.
I think about twenty percent believe they can make a difference going in, the other eighty, it's all about the money.
But back to Obamacare. Again, I won't even pretend to act like I know all the ins and outs, but I do know, that no one should be denied a chance of seeing a doctor, or receiving tests or even surgery in a hospital if they need it. No one should be denied medicine. I don't believe healthcare should be an asset only the well off can afford.
Yes, I know there are a lot of other variables into play here with small businesses, people who can afford to purchase insurance but refuse, and so on. I know there are people who abuse the emergency rooms in hospitals, but many times, it's not a case of laziness or abuse, but the only alternative a person might have.
I don't have the answers, I don't know who really does.
But at this point, the supreme court has ruled the ACA constitutional and it is now law. And the GOP is going to look like Scrooge incarnate over this mess. And they are already crying about it, but you have to ask....did they come up with an alternative?
I don't think they did, other than if you can't afford healthcare tough.
