it must be nice living in philosophy-land, but i deal in solutions to societal problems.
That coming from you. You preach a philosophy thats never worked large scale and long term anywhere in the wold, against one thats work very well for us for the last 200 years.
"The greatest dangers to liberty lurk in the insidious encroachment by men of zeal, well- meaning but without understanding."
the math does not support tort reform making a difference,
Nope, not at all, a doctor paying 20k less in non tax deductible insurance fees would do nothing to reduce the cost of medicine, I completely forgot. Getting layers, and their outlandish pay, out of medicine would just do nothing at all reduce costs.
and although allowing interstate commerce is a decent idea in theory, it would create new problems in itself.
Problems like the government, with their award winning cyber security record, trying to maintain a database with a scope so intrusive, against hackers?
Problems like for the first time in American history, the government claims the have to power to make you buy something you might not need, want, or have the means to pay for?
Problems like more bureaucracy getting between patients and doctors?
I guess cause there could be a few problems, we shouldn't even try.
neither are as comprehensive of solutions as the Affordable Care Act. Neither address the real problems with our broken healthcare system quite like the current reform.
If you call breaking a system comprehensive, then sure, real reform is being achieved.
