She was actually feeling very bad now, and regretting all her actions quite a bit. This is how things always seemed to go; first, it seemed like a great idea, and very hilarious. Then, she got caught up in the moment. Then, perhaps a nagging doubt that perhaps this wasn't a nice, kind, or sensible thing to do. But then, the excitement of it all carrying her, and those feelings being pushed away... Then, the being caught, and the realisation that perhaps it all wasn't such a fantastic idea after all, and the guilt...
The didgeridoo had seemed like a funny prop, but now she realised it was Alyx's personal properly. She'd been hungry for pizza, and she'd convinced herself to feel like she was only 'borrowing' the money, not feeling the need to ask permission as she told herself it made no difference anyway if she paid it back. Suddenly, using the credit card without permission DID feel a little criminal, and she felt bad for the additional security issues she'd caused as a result...
The implement bag too, had been swiped in a spur of the moment sort of whim, where she'd not been thinking at all.
And the outfit... well, now it did seem disrespectful, actually having been stood in the outfit in front of Alyx, but when she'd got dressed up, she had meant her impersonation to be... well, she liked Alyx, and dressing up as her was not supposed to be making fun of her in a mean way! She'd thought of it more like friendly banter perhaps. She'd pictured Alyx laughing at the costume, not feeling disrespected.
All of these thoughts happened in a single moment, washing over her in a wave of guilt.
The only thing she managed to say was, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to cause so much trouble. And I didn't mean to disrespect you. I... guess I wasn't thinking. Sorry, Alyx."
Emma was GREAT at getting into trouble, but she usually felt pretty guilty about it once she'd landed herself there
