Mr. Garver: Tried to look up the "XX" or "XXX" designation on these guns in the Houchins book (& elsewhere) and couldn't find anything about them. I know I've read about this type of designation somewhere in the past but...I just can't find that reference. To my knowledge, there are no markings on the gun like this.
