Gentlemen, I have attached a photo of SN 30041 and SN 30148 which is a Quality 2 12 gauge. I removed the forend metal from the wood on both to refresh my memory that the wood is original to both. I'm almost positive that the #2 forend is correct to those guns and only those guns as I've at least 6 others and have never seen it on any other grade.

The differences that I noticed is the Quality 2 has larger concave ribs, the rib isn't stamped and it has the bell shaped forend tip. The "XXX" has the pointed tip and the top rib is stamped "Hunter Arms Co., Fulton, NY
