In order to have an opinion or be opinionated, one should be more educated on how both the city sewers, ditches work and also understand what the MESD is responsible for, and actually how the system works. Most on here dont. Mr. Adler has done a good job, and we are lucky to have him and most of his workers. It doesnt take much understanding to look at his picture of the main pipes that are responsible for draining the city at 11 am the morning of the flood, and see that they were only about half full. Stevie Wonder, Ronnie Milsap, and Ray Charles could even see that. NO, the main pumps at the river,(watch this part, AT THE RIVER), werent working because they werent needed because the water couldnt drain out of the city. The problems we have had in the past should be over, the right people are in place who are trying to do the job they are getting paid to do. This is too much for me to be discussing this early, getting dizzy, a nap is approaching. Great post Mike! Most on here have no idea what they are talking about. The really sad thing is when they claim to have talked to someone that works for the city they don't realize many of those people don't know what they are talking about either. They got the job on patronage alone.
