They didn't put the war behind them, they suffered in silence, and it was a detriment to entire nation (especially their families). My Uncle Steve still suffers to this day.

Perhaps a small minority but they also came home to a heroes welcome and were treated with respect.

Yeah..the 60s...... y'all had the nation by the balls and sold out for picket fences and indebtedness (generally speaking).

Indebtedness? We were the last generation to believe in cash on the barrel head. We didn't charge a fortune to some plastic card. We didn't buy homes more than we could afford and then walk away for our responsibility.

I am sure Im going to be considered a dusty old codger when I get to the age you guys are

You more than likely will. If things keep going as they are now, the next generation of kids will need crying rooms at work. They will need pin on pacifier for when the boss yells at them. They won't need homes because they will just accept living in moms' basement. As you grow older you will see that during this age period you still wanted to change the world. You will begin to understand that watching others sit idly by while you work your ass off becomes frustrating. You will see that your sacrifices for your country were in vain with some people because they care about nothing but their own little space.

I hope I'm wrong because I see you as one of the stronger type personalities of your age. You've walked the walk in serving your country. You stand tall for your family and friends. You aren't afraid to challenge a wrong doing. You, unfortunately are in a minority.
