As to the question of your having children, it was more to the point that you have no clue how it feels to worry about your child. When it come to an ability to judge the efficacy of system, in a field I have much knowledge in, I think it helps not to apply emotion. I'm not trying to say a mother's natural instinct to protect their child is a bad thing, it's not. It's a wonderful thing. But instinct isn't always right. Kids are much safer on busses. Bottom line. The day that sparked this conversation was horrible, I'm not sure every mother and father knowing exactly where their kid was last, would have made things better. Perhaps less worrisome, but not likely better. If parents would have started trying to pick up their kids, in a panic, the kids would have been less safe. The school system is broke. The Mill might not ever reopen. This system while a lovely idea, isn't easy to safely implement. In software it can work, it can be safe, or it can be cheep., Pick two. I think you're clipboard idea is really the best yet Op. For those parents that just need to know where your kid is, those little watches work great, and there cheep. If it would comfort your worry, buy one of those, don't ask me to pay more in taxes for this one more expensive thing, that isn't likely to be put to good use, or help one child learn. If you own a home and don't live here, you are most likely renting it. Your tenant is paying your taxes. And no, if you don't live here, you can't vote here so your voice isn't really heard. (other than on anonymous internet sites) Try again, maybe I wanna move back one day, and there this little nook I wanna build a little house on.
