    Grade A Archived Message

Spoke with a couple of teacher friends of mine this evening while at dinner. They are very pleased with the efforts of Mr. Jim Greenwald as Superintendent so far.

While only being on the job a few months it appears Greenwald has at least earned the respect of this couple. Both indicated he's open to ideas and is a great motivator.

I knew Mr. Greenwald as a young high school baseball player. He had great work ethic back then and appears to now. Word has it that he's in the office early, goes home after the normal hours and takes or returns all calls.

Sure, it's early to give the man a grade at this point. He's taken over during a rough time financially and is undergoing tough negotiations and a newer Board of Ed. However, one thing I always believed is that if a manager earns the respect and trust of his employees, half his battle is won.

So I'm giving him a mid-semester Grade A. My opinion doesn't count anywhere else but between my ears but I offer it anyway. Keep up the hard work Jim Greenwald and remember these words of wisdom. Rome wasn't built in a day. It just burned in one. There's a message there if you look deep enough. It's what old retired guys do.
