I may be on the opposite side of opinion with this one, but I like this movement. I have nieces that I love, and one day I do hope to have kids, but at this point in my life, I'm a single adult with no kids. I like the idea of places to go that are kid free. Why not? If you don't like the food of a restaurant, don't eat there. Same goes if you don't like the policies. I like the idea of being able to go somewhere where I KNOW there won't be any crying or screaming kids. I like my adult time. I would love to go to an adults-only movie theater and see Harry Potter.
There are times when I don't mind being around kids, and sometimes I do. It's that simple. As long as there are ample choices around for people with kids, I don't see the problem with a few places that are no-kids.
The one exception I will say is first-class on planes, only because it's not often you have several choices for flights, especially non-stop flights. I can see how a well-known person would have a problem being in coach. However, if I did pay extra for a seat, I would hate to have a screaming baby next to me the whole way. It's not like you can just get up and leave. So, I'm torn on that one.
