Unfortunately it is common knowledge that the "Public Aid" system has been abused for years. Those that utilize the system as a temporary help during a difficult time dont abuse it. Those that see it as a way of life do abuse it and dont care. Probably when this mother got home around her friends and family she only raged about how some one she didnt know "butted" into her personal business. I doubt there was any embarassment on her part.
Not sure you meant it this way, but I dont think calling someone out in public like that is the thing to do. You never know how someone might react.
