Being an ICU nurse doesn't relate to provifing anesthesia to anyone. While Im sure being a nurse is helpful for understanding hospital protocol, your nursing doesn't mean much once graduated from an ANS training program. You are trained and payed to provide ANS, not be a nurse. I would have to say that 24 - 28 months of in hospital clinical training of purely ANS is great clinical experience. Not having any ICU nurse experience means nothing when looking at anesthesia.
