I have no one to relieve me now. Your analysis of history is so wrong it is not even funny, why the shortage of anesthesiologists? Answer in the 80's there was a surplus in anesthesia providers. Programs of both kinds CRNA and MDA were shut down, Now there is a shortage and a need for more, your "solution" expand a marginal (in Numbers, not talent)group to relive this pressure. HMMMMMMM 635 or so graduates in 30 years. A lot to build on. As for your numbers prove them or they are just something you made up. I was not aware that the AANA "awarded all ANP in the military, I assume you must mean CRNA's. What a surprise a greater number of GENERAL MEDICINE PROVIDERS over consultants. I bet there are more GP's in service then cardiologists or anesthesiologists. You "history is just not real the AANA was founded in 1931 and nurses delivered anesthesia for years before vitnam the PA program or the AA program. You forgot to mention those 60 years.
