Dick is correct in the year of the first ejectors, and if I'm not mistaken the first ones used the second style joint check. In a 1892 catalog it states about ejectors being on A1 and A 2, but also lists the Monogram. Even though this was the first year and only on those grades, I'm sure that you could order it on a Grade 2 ("anything within reason") This gun is an early Fulton with the Syracuse style engraving, if it were closer to the Syracuse style it would have the bottom raised ribs but would not have ejectors. The early Quality/Grade 2s had 22 lpi, mine is circa 1899 Grade 2E with 22 lpi and I believe that changed in the early 1900's to 18 lpi. Syracuse Quality 2's had 22 lpi also. It's funny about not seeing a 20 ga on a Regular frame, but you could order a .410 with a Regular frame and I've heard of them but never have seen one With that early serial number this gun should have the clam shell release on the forend
