2E 12-32" ventilated rin DT AE= serial no. is 1074 Barrels marked NP-No firing pin bushings as on my 12 ga. 2E sn. 315816 mfg. 1907= PG splinter forearm with roll forward knurled release 14 and 1/4" LOP from front trigger to Hawkins red pad- est. wt- 8 lbs. 4 oz. three position safety- two piece top tang iron. Bores like a mirror-no Hunter Arms marking on the raised ventilated rib-and for Brother Andy Anderson and his Grade 2 engraving survey- both lock plates have circles with rosettes in side- No ducks, quail, woodcock etc. Action is tight and on face, ejectors are in time- nice Smith- Asking price is $2000. plus MI tax (6%)- top lever does move to past center when gun is dis-assembled and the trip depressed, BUT not when gun is closed and being cocked. Checkering on PG and splinter forearm (has black front tip cap) is not same as on my 1907 vintage Smith 2E-looks to be 18 lpi with boarders, but stock is intact and NO splits or cracks anywhere on the tangs, or either sideplate. So there we are- Dr. Drew- when did Smith first offer Ventilated ribs on the double guns?
