I disagree with Dick Miller about his opinion that this gun is a Syracuse gun. I would suspect that this gun is actually a Fulton gun made in 1898 according to the chart of serial numbers available on this website. If this gun is of acceptable condition, not modified from factory specs, and all Smith manufacture, the $2000 price may be not too far off the mark. I would not take $2000 for my great little vent rib 32" 0E. It happens to be my favorite shooting Smith shotgun.
