    There is a company who owns the records of Abercrombie's gun sales, as well as the VL & A or D.

    This company is in the process of cataloging all of this and in the future they hope to be able to generate "factory letters" on the data they have.

    I can't be more specific yet as they are not done with cataloging everything. There will be a post when this is all done, etc... One of my Smiths was sold at VL&D or A, and I have the info from those books ONLY because the gentleman doing all the work contacted me about a different research project I was doing and offered the info to me. It will be worth the wait when they are ready to do the letters. MUCH more info will be made known about the guns sold there, as the info at Cody is spotty at best on the early guns. This info will fill in the blanks on many early guns.
